We stopped along our North Carolina road trip to sample the local Octoberfest creations. This little town of 4,000 plus people is the 3rd largest tobacco markets in Virginia. South Hill was incorporated as a town on 16 Feb. 1901 and remained one of the only three circular municipalities in the United States until an annexation in 1967. I tried the Burg Beer a light and refreshing easy lager. The potato salad is cold vinegar based, severed with a brat and both were delicious. This place is perfect for an afternoon with friends in their backyard. I will be back.
