I have officially obtained my goat fence certification. One a quiet day on the farm feeds a soul. When our friend asked for an extra pair of ranch hands we gladly helped. The day was complete with fresh trout from a Qauntico stream along with barley and hops.
Top reasons to have a goat:
They produce milk aka goat kefir (a fermented milk drink with a sour taste, made using a culture of yeasts and bacteria.
Goat milk also is brilliant for soap making
Angora and Pygora goats yield mohair
They are land cleaners weeds and blackberry brambles are a fan fav
And most importantly they are fun.
