Abandoned National Slavery Museum

Located off one of the main drags in Fredericksburg lies an abandoned tribute to historic times.  The vision of Douglas Wilder a former governor of Virginia was slated for a museum that included a slave ship a garden, theater, tobacco and cotton garden and even a library.  Today all that remains is an over grown small patch of what was a garden and signs that are difficult to read.  The sun and weather has taken a toll on his vision.   The path now overgrown with thorns and bushes are the relics left to fade.
