We meet up the 3rd Wednesday of each month and take turns hosting an evening full of food and grapes. This theme was wines from Greece. Greek wines tend to lean towards the sour side which I enjoy. The vineyards have gotten creative with harvesting water to keep their vines healthy. Greece has over 200 indigenous grape varietals, including Xinomavro, Assyrtiko, Agiorgitiko and Savatino. As Greece is the only country using these grapes, they produce wines that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. source
