The essence of holidays is our Christmas tree. The scent of a live fresh tree and glowing lights greets you everyday. It is a time to reflect about why he is the reason for the season. Hot cider and holiday jazz music filled the house. I am loved and I am blessed. Bonus for us this year is that it snowed. Not Minnesota need to shovel snow however it was the white christmas I was dreaming of. We had a blast dropping off gifts to friends and neighbors. New Puppy aka Big Fluff aka Chubbers was not a fan of his antlers on our walk his accidently fell off and he tried to relieve himself on said antlers.
Our menu was different and a break from tradition. We made BBQ ribs and southern sides. We made apple cider whisky smash and of course there was dessert. My bestie Chris surprised me with the greatest holiday gift. A Scott Studwell autographed jersey. Studwell was drafted by the Vikings in the 9th round of the 1977 draft out of Illinois. He is the Vikings all-time leading tackler with 1,981 in his 14 season career (1977-90). He ranks as 1 of only 5 Vikings to have played 200 games for the franchise. He holds team records for single-season tackles with 230 in 1981 and 24 in a game against Detroit in 1985. He led the Vikings in tackles in 8 seasons, 1980-85, ’88, ’89. source
