The theme of our girls extended weekend was Glamour, Glitz, and Girlfriends: A Fabulous NYC Getaway. New York City, the city that never sleeps, was the backdrop for an unforgettable adventure as we embarked on an escapade. Our AirBnB which was adorable was located across the street from the iconic Madison Square Garden.
Maybe it was the wine or maybe the giggle energy that was the root of our spontaneous dance off. We could have taken our act to the streets of Manhattan. I guess we were feeling the magic of being so close to Broadway and the spirit of the city. I am certain our neighbors loved our time together.
Our meals were a gastronomic paradise, as we tried to savor every flavor NYC has to offer. There is no shortage of exotic food markets and trendy eateries adding a flavorful twist to our trip. As the sun set and the city light up, we sat on the deck and listened to the sounds of organized chaos. The twinkling city lights provided the perfect ambiance for a night of relaxation and bonding.
The highlight of the trip was to support and cheer on Dori who ran the NYC marathon. Yes she is a beast. I cannot begin to write down the words of pride and honor it is to share these trips around the sun with her. Her race was the heart of this journey.
In fact she ran so fast that all of us missed her. We are talking in the blink of an eye she was gone. Once we returned and review our photos and videos we found her. Of course that would happen.
