Brunswick was first settled in 1628 and officially incorporated as a town in 1739. It was originally part of the Pejepscot Purchase, which encompassed several towns in the area. Brunswick’s early economy relied on shipbuilding, fishing, and agriculture. Downtown features a remarkable collection of well-preserved 19th-century buildings. The Maine Street Historic District showcases a variety of architectural styles, including Federal, Greek Revival, and Italianate. Walking through the downtown area is like taking a step back in time, as these historic structures contribute to the town’s unique character.
One of the flavor highlights was Enoteca Athena. Not only is their vibe on point they make the best cocktails. We had exceptional service to match the ambience. It is known for its focus on Mediterranean cuisine and its warm, inviting atmosphere. The menu draws inspiration from the flavors and culinary traditions of the Mediterranean region. You will experience a variety of dishes influenced by Italian, Greek, and other Mediterranean cuisines. The menu features a selection of small plates, salads, pasta dishes, and wood-fired pizzas, often incorporating fresh, local ingredients.
