Fredericksburg has an annual Beer and Bourbon Festival. Get your tickets in advance as the price increases a few days out before the event. Also there is a limited amount of tickets and it is worth. There were even some samples of wine available.
There is live music and the lines move quickly. The gate opens at 4 and closes at 9. We were there for 3 hours and that was plenty of time to visit all the vendors including those selling their wares. The food trucks had a variety of items. My one suggestion would be to bring your own chairs if you are wanting to sit. There are tables and chairs available however they were all occupied. A salute to a well organized and tasty event.
