Natty Boh is the official beer of Baltimore even though the beer is no longer brewed here. I decided to get my steps in after I made an airport run. I parked in the Canton neighborhood and headed up the hill. Pro tip when parking note if it’s nose or pull in depending if the street is a 2 way or not. The city is full of streets with stories and neighborhoods full of character. I walked up the hill to find myself at brewers hill. This neighborhood is located between Fleet street, Haven street, Dillon and Conklin street.
While walking around I came across this local pub. I am a fan of Claddagh rings so this new find was a must stop. Claddagh rings is comprised of a heart to represents love, the crown for loyalty, and two clasped hands symbolize friendship. I cherish mine. The pub is located at 2918 O’Donnell St, Baltimore, MD 21224 and is open until 2am.
I am more of an early evening kind of patron however you never know. I had to have the fresh chips with my sandwich while watching football. This neighborhood is full of local pubs.
Another ah ha moment was this sign. I had this as my New Year’s post. I saw this and fell in love with this saying. Céad míle fáilte {Kay-od mee-leh foyle-cha} -Irish meaning a hundred thousand welcomes.
I also took in one of my favorite museums in Baltimore the Walters Art Museum. Located at 600 N Charles St, Baltimore, MD 21201. Did you know: The Walters has the third-oldest conservation lab in the country and is world-renowned for its conservation treatment and technical research of objects, manuscripts and works of art on paper, and paintings. source
