Did you know:  William (Pudge) Heffelfinger who played for Yale was paid $500 by the AAA to play in a game against the PAC.  His ledger of this event is considered to be pro footballs birth certificate. The hall of fame opened in 1963 with 17 inductees.  Canton why oh why Canton?  First American Professional Football Association was founded in Canton in 1920.   Also the Canton Bulldogs were two-time champion of the NFL in 1922 and 1923.
